He was elected as the State Representive for the [[Monre County Libertarian Party]], serving from March/April 2015 to March 18, 2017. During that time, the Monroe chapter was split off from the Greater Rochester Libertarian Party, in which Becker originally represented. He was a member of the LPNY's Interim State Committee from 2019 to 2020, and elected to the State Committee under ballot access, serving since September 27, 2020.
