Becker has been an activist in the Libertarian Party sine the 1980s. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was an Editor of ''[[Rochester Libertarian]]''. He was a Presidential Elector for New York State in 1988 for [[Ron Paul]], in 1996 for [[Harry Browne]], and 2008 for [[Bob Barr]]. | |||
Becker has served on the State Committee several times. He was a Member-At-Large from 2002 to 2003 and 2009 to 2010. He was elected as the State Representive for the [[Monre County Libertarian Party]], serving from March/April 2015 to March 18, 2017. During that time, the Monroe chapter was split off from the Greater Rochester Libertarian Party, in which Becker originally represented. He was a member of the LPNY's Interim State Committee from 2019 to 2020, and elected to the State Committee under ballot access, serving since September 27, 2020. | |||
