The amount of $1,500 per year began July 1, 2012.  Prior to that it was $1000 per year. When the party started charging $1000 for Life Members is not known.

When the Party was first formed, there were two levels of Life Membership: Life and Sustaining Life.  [[Tim Barrus]] was the first Life Sustaining Member.  [[Luke Zell]] was the first Life Member.  Although not entirely clear what else may be involved, becoming a Life Sustaining Member involved the payment of $250.
