The December 7-8, 1980 LNC meeting took place in New Orleans, Louisiana, and involved several important appointments and organizational developments. Among the key outcomes of the meeting was the selection of [[Eric O'Keefe]] as the new National Director, responsible for implementing party programs on a day-to-day basis. Additionally, [[Leslie Graves Key]], Chairman of the Libertarian National Committee's Finance Committee, announced the appointment of the Finance Committee's executive officers.
