Caryn Ann and a sizable number of supporters maintain that the suspension was completely unethical and done in retaliation for political criticism and whistleblowing.  According Caryn Ann vowed to continue to serve out her term unofficially stating that her duty is to the delegates who elected her and not a rogue LNC.  She ran for reinstatement at the [[National Convention 2022]].

She delivered this message to the LNC as they were considering filling the alleged (her words) vacancy:

[[John Wilford]] was elected to fill the vacancy.  Only Harlos and Wilford received votes which split exactly along the same lines that supported her removal (a vote of 9-6 with the chair not voting), but also proved, according to Harlos, her point that absent the substitution of [[David Sexton]] behind the back of [[Steven Nekhaila]], the LNC did not have the votes to remove her since 6 solid primary LNC members support her.  She asserts this is very shaky ground upon which to support the removal of a popular officer, particularly one that is very widely viewed as a heroic whistleblower.

At the [[National Convention 2022]], she was re-elected with over 70% of the vote and the delegates ruled that her prior removal was null and void due to the denial of basic due process rights to an officer and therefore a continuing breach of the bylaws and that she never ceased to be LNC Secretary.
