On the topic of your research on the Portland Massacre, you note on that article "Her initial notes confirmed several voting errors where definite NAY votes were recorded as AYE." Is this backwards or were the votes the opposite of what you would expect (vote AYE to oppose the plank or NAY to support it) in which case could that have caused some confusion and led people to vote the opposite of the way they intended?
