Kress was born on December 7, 1933. She was first involved in the [[Libertarian Party of New York]] as early as 1974, when she served as an Alternate Delegate. She was involved in the State Party through at least 1988, when her term as an At-Large of the State Committee ended.
In 2006, she was listed as a member of the Coordinating Committee of the [[Association of Libertarian Feminists]].
