Longtime Denver resident and local architect John L. Mason Jr, brother, father and friend took his last breath on December 31, 2020, at his residence in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, after a long illness. He was born in Washington D.C. on November 4, 1946 to Commander John (Jack) L. Mason and Ingrid Mason. He was the oldest of seven children. Together they traveled the length of the country and across the ocean to Europe. John went to dozens of public schools until graduating from Mount Vernon High in Alexandria, Virginia as an honor student and athlete.
