Eric has been a resident of Colorado since 2007, having moved here from Michigan with his family. After graduating from Thunder Ridge High School in Highlands Ranch, Eric enlisted as a Chaplain Assistant in the US Army. It was during his time in the army (including an 11 month rotation to Afghanistan) that Eric came to embrace the Libertarian ideals of non-intervention, civil liberties, and economic freedom.

In 2012, Eric Mulder registered with the Libertarian Party of Colorado, getting involved in Libertarian affiliates all across the country (including the Libertarian Party of El Paso County, Arapahoe County, and Washington State Libertarian Party affliates Pierce County and Thurston County). Upon completion of his military service in 2016, he became a national Libertarian Party member and served on the Libertarian Party of Colorado's 2017 Convention Planning Committee, culminating with his election to the state board of directors as Fundraising Director in 2017. He currently attends Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, and has contributed designs for Libertarian causes in California, Washington, Colorado, and Maryland. <ref>http://www.lpcolorado.org/leadership</ref>
