Jonathan Lerche is the current Secretary of the Chemung County Libertarian Party, since 2025. He previously served as its Vice-Chair from 2022 to 2025.
Biography
Jonathan M. Lerche is originally from Waverly, New York. After graduating from Waverly High School he spent 1 year at Corning Community College and then attended Zion Bible Institute in Barrington, Rhode Island from 1992 – 1995. Jonathan has a bachelor’s degree in theology. Jonathan worked in the Information Technology field primarily as a consultant to Fortune 100 companies from 1998 – 2013 during which time he worked and lived in various states throughout the Northeast USA. Jonathan relocated his family to Horseheads, NY in August 2003 where he purchased a home and has been living since. Jonathan has been a Realtor since 2005 and is currently working as an Associate Real Estate Broker with RE/MAX In Motion serving the Southern Tier of NY. He was the 2022 President of the Elmira-Corning Regional Association of Realtors. He currently serves as Past President on the ECRAR Executive Committee and is also the Legislative/ RPAC committee chair.
