Christopher Thrasher is an elected official, serving as the Commissioner of Public Trust Funds for the town of Westport, Massachusetts.[1]
Thrasher is an Independent political consultant and activist who has worked with Libertarian candidates since 2008.[2]
He served as Chair of the LNC Ballot Access Committee (2020-2022), and Chair of the Ad-Hoc Convention Voting Process Committee (2020-2021). He also previously served as a member of the Ballot Access Committee (2016-2017, 2018-2022) and the Bylaws and Rules Committee (2019-2020).
He served as Lincoln Chafee's 2020 campaign manager,[3], and he is the principal of Ballot Access Marketing, LLC.[4]
In 2016, Thrasher served as the Director of Ballot Access for the Gary Earl Johnson/Bill Weld campaign, achieving 50 state + DC ballot access for a Libertarian Party Presidential candidate for the first time since 1996.
He previously served as senior staff for the Libertarian presidential campaigns of Senator Mike Gravel (2008), Gov. Gary Earl Johnson (2012), and John McAfee (2016).[4]
At the 2018 National Convention, he was a candidate for National Chair, finishing third behind Nicholas Sarwark and Joshua Smith.
Thrasher has attended 6 Libertarian National Conventions since 2008, as a delegate from the Libertarian Party of North Carolina, the Libertarian Party of New Jersey, the Libertarian Party of California, the Libertarian Party of Connecticut, the Libertarian Party of Illinois, and the Libertarian Party of Massachusetts, respectively.
