The LPWV represents the majority of West Virginians through our conscious efforts to protect liberty by emphasizing individual freedom. We believe each individual has the right to live as they wish!

MISSION

The LPWV is neither Democrat nor Republican. Rather, we represent the majority of West Virginians through our conscious efforts to protect liberty by emphasizing individual freedom. We believe each individual has the right to live as they wish, provided they do not infringe on the rights of others. This extremely important concept is what separates the LPWV from the two major parties.

RECLAIMING OUR HISTORY

We are working to compile a comprehensive history of the LPWV spanning from inception to present day. Over the years, there have been many changes of the Executive Committee which has led to loss of historical records. If you have information, photos, audio/video, event information, candidate records, etc., please email "chair@lpwv.info" to provide these valuable items for us to archive.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND OFFICERS

Current events

The LPWV meets between two and four times each year, depending on need, as determined by the Executive Board.

December 13th 2008 meeting in Morgantown, WV

The LPWV will hold a regular meeting in Morgantown, WV on December 13th, 2008. Issues to be discussed include a number of bylaws amendments to fix bugs, some financing, and some regional affiliate charters.

LPWV 2008 State Convention

The LPWV 2008 convention will be held on May 11th at the Days Inn in Clarksburg/Bridgeport. Members should arrive at or before 11:15am for credentials. The membership will select our delegates to the national convention in Denver. See lpwv.org for more details including directions.

August 25th 2007 meeting in Weston, WV

Our meeting at LCHS in Weston on the 25th concluded with a new set of bylaws being approved, and a new slate of officers being elected. We also collected well over $100 in membership fees from new members. Jim Lark was in attendance, and assisted us by serving as chair for the meeting.

August 11th 2007 meeting in Weston, WV

All interested parties are urged to attend an organizational meeting to adopt bylaws and elect officers of the LPWV. We will meet at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 11, in Weston. The meeting will be at Lewis County High School, in the cafeteria, which is straight through the front doors and ahead on the right.

To get to LCHS, take exit 96 off I-79, turn right (from either north or south), and proceed about a quarter mile to the stop sign. The entrance to the school is straight across the intersection.
