The Brooklyn Libertarian Party is a local chapter of the Libertarian Party of New York. It was established on May 17, 2009.
History
A Kings County Libertarian Party existed earlier, but after a couple of years of inactivity, it was dechartered by the State Committee on June 23, 2001. Later, the Brooklyn-Queens Libertarian Party was formed that included both Kings and Queens Counties.
