The '''Libertarian Party of Puerto Rico (LPPR)''' was the [[Puerto Rico]] affiliate of the [[Libertarian Party of the United States]]. The original party was founded in May, 1997 in [[Santurce]], Puerto Rico. It held its first meeting at a Denny's restaurant. Its formation was largely spearheaded by local talk-radio host [[Frank Worley]] and pro-statehood activist [[Jose Julio Diaz]], who were able to bring together a small group of Puerto Rican libertarians.
