Jami Van Alstine is a Historical Archaeologist and anarchist who has a career in Information Technology.  She is a second generation libertarian, but only joined the Libertarian Party of Michigan in 2018 when she decided to serve as the social media account manager for Bill Gelineau's campaign for Governor of Michigan.  That same year she joined the Wayne County affiliate and has been actively in the affiliate and the community, serving as Secretary (2018-19), Vice-Chair (2019-21), Chairman (2021-22), and At-Large (2022-) as well as driving outreach.  In 2020, Jami ran for Wayne County Commission seat for District 11, even while losing to the Democrat incumbent she garnered the most votes to date for a county commission seat for any Libertarian candidate in Michigan's history.  She is currently serving on the state LEC as the District 13 representative and chairing the Campaign Support Committee as well as raising a third generation of libertarians.
