Ed Clark was the Libertarian candidate for President in the 1980 presidential election. David Koch, a businessman from New York, was Clark's Vice President running mate.

He received just under 1 million votes; the highest number of popular votes a Libertarian party candidate has ever received in a presidential race. In 1978, Clark received 5 percent of the popular vote in a race for Governor of California.
