Ed Clark was the Libertarian candidate for President in the 1980 elections. He recieved just under 1 million votes; the highest number of popular votes a Libertarian party candidate has ever recieved in a presidential race. In 1978, Clark revieced 5 percent of the popular vote in a race for Governor of California.
