Colleen "Domi" O'Brien was Secretary of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire in 1976. She also worked the presidential ticket petition drive that year.

She ran for Strafford County Commissioner and State Representative in New Hampshire in 1976.

She ran for Governor of New Hampshire in 1986.

She is the daughter of John H O'Brien, a former Libertarian candidate for Congress in New Hampshire in 1976.

In the 1970s and 1980s, she and her then-husband Arne Erickson used to organize socials, speeches and dinner parties for Libertarian activists and academics at their home in New Hampshire. Notable guests included Roger Lea MacBride and Murray Rothbard.

She is the mother of Libertarian activist Avens O'Brien.
