There are two endorsements in odd years. In 2013 the Danville Register & Bee endorsed Robert Sarvis for Virginia Governor. And in 2011 the Buckeye Firearms Association endorsed Mark Noble for a city council office in Ohio.
Prior to 1994, the New Right Coalition endorsed John Hospers for President in 1972, the Bakersfield Californian endorsed Ed Clark for Governor in 1978, and the Oakland Tribune endorsed Richard Winger for California Secretary of State in 1986.
