The Practical Leadership Theory, more commonly known to Libertarians in Queens, NY as the "Padilla Leadership Principle", is the baseline theory that leadership in the City of New York only works if it's in the field and the point of view of the people.

It's creator, Christopher R. Fuentes-Padilla, is a Eagle Scout and serves as the Vice Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Queens County.

Basic Application

The most basic application of the Practical Leadership Theory is in everyday life. A co-worker, child, teenager or loved one may require leadership in the smallest of ways, Moral Leadership.

For example: A child comes up to a teacher and asks for assistance with the reading of a passage he can't understand. The teacher reads it to him, reads it with him and then has him read it in front of her. She used a practical teaching method. She showed him the practice of reading it aloud for better understanding, the practice of reading to someone else to ensure quality of the content and in the long run allowed him the chance to try alone to evaluate the process.

The Idea can be transferred over to low-level or in-party politics as well. The New York City Council, New York State Assembly and New York State Senate Representatives can be in the district, serving food to the homeless, fixing homes and hearing the people, whilst still representing their interests in the office. The idea is that there is no excuse for not being in the point of view of the public.
