Usman Ali Chohan, more likely known as Usman Ali, is the Current Treasurer of the Libertarian Party of Queens County. He is formerly the Candidate for both New York State Assembly in District 25 and New York City Council in District 24, during the election years of 2016 and 2017 respectively.

He also serves as the Director of Administrative Services at Department of Services: NYC, a volunteer, community based public safety and security agency that services Queens County. He and Christopher R. Fuentes-Padilla are members of the Executive Board of Department of Services: NYC.

He is a graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo High School in New York City and Currently Studies Public Administration at St. John's University's Queens Campus.

Queens Libertarian Party Elections (2017)

Usman Ali Chohan, Christopher R. Fuentes-Padilla, Elliot Axelman and Armin Nassiri where part of the temporary county committee as Volunteers in 2016. In March 2017, the county held the Annual Convention to ratify the drafted bylaws and elect the officers of the county committee.

Mr. Chohan was elected to the position of County Treasurer that night via the Initial Nomination of the newly elected Vice Chairman Christopher R. Fuentes-Padilla. The election was supervised by the Manhattan Libertarian Party.

Campaign Involvements

In 2016, Usman Ali Chohan was the Republican Party (United States) Candidate in the General Election for New York State Assembly in the 25th District. He garnered the highest votes and total percentage for any Candidate his age in the County and the Highest Amount of Votes in his Age Group in the State for a GOP Candidate.

In 2017, he sought the Democratic Party nomination, in addition to the Republican Party nomination for New York City Council's District 24 Seat, against the incumbent Rory I. Lancman. In April, Usman dropped his run for the the Council Seat citing Financial Issues and Inequality in the NYC Political Climate.
