Sam Goldstein is the Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Indiana (LPIN) [1]. Sam Goldstein has a long career of service within the Libertarian Party. He has served as both the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Libertarian Party of Marion County, and the Vice-Chair and Membership Director of the Libertarian Party of Indiana. He has also been a Libertarian candidate for Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, State Treasurer, and also State Representative District 86. He has run as a candidate for the Indianapolis-Marion County Council. He also has served the Libertarian Party on the national level on both the LP Platform and By-Laws Committees.

Goldstein is a graduate of Indiana University (1976) with a B.S. in Education (Secondary Social Studies). For 15 years Goldstein was a sales representative and regional sales manager for AMSCO School Publications, Inc. It was this career path that has ignited his passion for education reform. In 1993, Goldstein left the education world to start his own small business. He is currently the owner and operator of the Goldstein Insurance Agency, Farmers Insurance Group.

His oldest son, Max, just graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a B.S. in Political Science. His younger son, Matthew, will is a freshman at Indiana State University. His wife Jame passed away recently due to breast cancer. Goldstein and his wife and best friend Jame were married for 25 years. He continues to keep her memory alive through donations volunteerism to the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. Goldstein resides in Indianapolis.
