Mark W.A. Hinkle is currently a regional representative to the Libertarian National Committee (LNC) from California.

He was elected by the Libertarian Party of California (LPC) at their annual convention in 2008 and will serve a 2 year term.

This is Mark Hinkle's forth term (each 2 years in length) on the LNC.

He has also served 4 terms (a total of 6 years) as Chair of the LPC.

He has run for partisan office 5 times and for non partisan office twice.

Most recently he was the Libertarian candidate in the 27th Assembly district and earned 9% of the vote in a 3 way open race in 2008.

He is a lifetime member of both the LPC and the LNC (since 1974).

He resides in Morgan Hill, CA with his wife Linda and son Logan.

He owns and operates a small business specializing in swimming pool safety for toddlers.
