Robert Murphy
Robert Murphy was Chair of the Oklahoma Libertarian Party during the early 1980s leading up to the David Bergland 1984 presidential campaign. Under his leadership, Campus Libertarians flourished at the University of Oklahoma. He was a key figure in the Oklahoma Caucus gatherings held during numerous national conventions.

Campaigns
In 1980, 1984, and 2016 he ran for US Senate in Oklahoma. During the 2016 campaign Murphy defeated Dax Ewbank in the Libertarian primary to become the nominee. He is again running for Senate in 2020.
In 1990 he was a candidate for Virginia's 8th House of Representatives and he has been a candidate for US House in three different districts in Oklahoma, CD4 in 1996, CD3 in 2002, and CD5 in 2000, 2012, and 2014.
