He is currently running for Michigan's 8th Congressional District in the US House of Representatives. He was a delegate for Michigan at the 2018 National Convention.
2018 US Senate Campaign
In early 2018, Ellison filed to run for the US Senate out of Michigan. Ellison drew international attention with his 'Arm The Homeless' initiative.[2][3][4]
Ellison later withdrew from the US Senate race in order to run for Michigan's 8th District in the US House of Representatives.
