Ernie Whiteside is a Libertarian activist and writer who has served in Texas and Michigan.

He was secretary Denton County Libertarian Party from 2000-2002 and elected chair at the 2002 county convention. He served on the Libertarian Party of Texas State Libertarian Executive Committee from 2001-2002.

He relocated in early 2003 and has been active with the Libertarian Party of Michigan, running for the State Board of Education in 2004.

He has also served as the Michigan LP's Outreach Director.
