Political Campaigns
2019 Campaign for County Legislator
In 2019, Cain ran for Chautauqua County Legislator in District 16 to challenge Republican Party incumbent John Davis. Since the Libertarian Party of New York had recently gained ballot access due to Larry Sharpe's campaign receiving over 50,000 votes, the Libertarian Party did not need to petition, and so Cain was on the ballot. His campaign Treasurer was Andrew Kolstee. He was officially endorsed by the Chautauqua County Libertarian Party at its 2019 convention.[1] [2]
The results were as follows:
Candidate | Party | Carroll 1 | Carroll 2 | Kiantone | Poland 1 | Poland 2 | Total |

John Davis | Republican | 353 | 354 | 225 | 175 | 175 | 1,282 |
John Davis | Conservative | 102 | 97 | 27 | 27 | 28 | 281 |
John Davis | Independence | 40 | 34 | 23 | 9 | 7 | 113 |
