Austin Wade Petersen (born February 19, 1981) is a producer, writer, political activist, and commentator from Missouri. He is the founder of the Libertarian Republic, an online news publisher.
On September 6, 2015, Petersen ran for President of the United States, seeking the Libertarian Party nomination. He finished as the runner-up on the second ballot, losing to Gary Johnson.
On July 4, 2017, Petersen announced that he is running under the Republican Party in the 2018 Missouri Senate race.[1]
