Dr. William Martin "Bill" Sloane is a former Democratic Chief Counsel to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and former member of the Pennsylvania Democratic State Executive Committee.  He became a Libertarian in 2010.

He has served as Central Vice-Chair of the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania (LPPA) since 2017 and chairs the Capital Area Libertarian Committee, comprising Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties.

Sloane is a former LPPA Western Vice-Chair [2015-17] and Judicial Committee Member [2011-15; Chair 2011-14].  He has been a Health Care Freedom Advisory Council Member of Our America Initiative beginning in 2014.

He is also a member of the Pàrtaidh Libeirtèireach na h-Alba (Scottish Libertarian Party).  He describes himself as a Twelfth Amendment activist and as the “founder and sole member of Caucus-Free Libertarians.”
