Userboxes are a visually catchy means for telling visitors and other editors about yourself in your user page. You can use them to show that you're a county chair, that you ran for office, or that you like orange and mauve stripes.

Please note that userboxes do not belong in the article namespace. There are other templates for use there.

A userbox is essentially a template to specific tolerances. For example:
