Bill Redpath is a longtime member of the Libertarian National Committee and (past?) Treasurer of the Libertarian National Congressional Committee who has been involved with the Libertarian Party since 1984. At the 2006 National Convention in Portland he was elected as the new national chair.
He is a firm believer in the national party's role in ballot access and was Chair of the Ballot Access Committee from 1990 through 1997, the timespan including the successful efforts for 50 state ballot access in 1992 and 1996. He started his efforts as a petition volunteer in 1988 and recently served as the LNC's Ballot Access Project Manager.
He has run for office three times. In 1993 he ran for the Virginia House of Delegates. In 1998 he ran for the Virginia Senate. In 2001 he ran for Governor of Virginia.
He served as state chair of the Libertarian Party of Virginia from 1989 to 1991, as well as vice chair and treasurer.
He is a CPA with a MBA from the University of Chicago, and is presently a Vice President of Consulting for BIAfn.
