The 1973 Louisiana Convention on January 19-20, 1974. The convention elected Crayton "Sparky" Hall as its new Chairman; former State Chairman Jerry Millett was nominated to run for Congress in the 7th District, and Jeff Daiell was chosen to run for Commissioner of Public Safety in Shreveport.
