James "Jim" Rosenbeck is a Libertarian Party activist and current Chair of the Libertarian Party of New York.Previously, he served as Vice Chair for 2015 to 2018. He ran for Batavia City Council alongside Mark Potwora and Lisa Whitehead in 2017. He was Region 8 Representative on the Libertarian National Committee for a brief time in 2018.

Rosenbeck earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling from SUNY Brockport in 1981. He is a retired from his position as Counseling Department Chairperson at Pembroke High School in Genesee County and now devotes much of his time to Libertarian Party activism.

Rosenbeck is a lifetime member of the national Libertarian Party and is a two-time candidate for local office in the City of Batavia. Jim and his wife (Deborah Kerr Rosenbeck) are also very involved in the Genesee County Chapter of the LPNY. He is currently serving his third term as Vice Chair. He is Chairman of the LPNY Chapter Development Committee and is passionate about facilitating the development of new chapters in the state.
