The Oklahoma Caucus came into existence in 1973 with party members who were tired of endless talk, most of it “see me, feel me”, not relevant to success of the party. Getting stoned on marijuana became a thing and the participants came to say that they were going to caucus and it grew from there.
Despite its name, its membership and area of activity has never been confined to Oklahoma.
