Harold Thomas is a retired business analyst from Columbus, Ohio. He is the current chair of the Libertarian Party of Ohio. Prior to this, he served as chair of the Libertarian Party of Franklin County, Ohio, and was a member of the LPO Executive Committee. His term is only ten months due to a change in the LPO bylaws that will elect the state Executive Committee in odd-numbered years beginning in 2019. He has been active politically since high school, was executive director of the Stark County Republican Party in Canton, Ohio (1978-1982), was twice a Republican candidate for public office, and was finance director of a statewide judicial campaign. He became a Libertarian in 2010 and has served on the county and state levels since 2014.
