He is also serving in leadership roles within the Libertarian Party of Illinois including Finance Division Director, Convention Committee Chair, and State Central Committee Representative for the 18th Congressional District. Morris also represents the Libertarian Party of Illinois on the National Platform Committee.

Morris chaired the first local affiliate in Illinois to gain established party status and has recruited more than a dozen local Libertarian candidates in his tenure as local party chair.[2] He is also petitioning for a ballot referendum to dissolve the Bloomington Election Commission, a duplicate election authority in McLean County, Illinois.[3]

Personally, Morris works in the private sector as a marketing and advertising professional for a Fortune 50 company specializing in digital media. He graduated in 2017 with a Master of Business Administration degree from Illinois State University where he also completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in 2012 with a double-major in Political Science and East Asian Studies. He resides in Bloomington, IL with his wife Kylie and likes to spend his spare time volunteering, learning new skills, and enjoying music, film, wine, and whisky.

In 2018, Morris has announced that he will be seeking the election of the delegates at the Libertarian National Convention 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana to represent LNC Region 6 on the Libertarian National Committee.
