Wilson graduated from Pineville High School in 1993 and attended Mountain State University, graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
In 2004, Wilson was elected as the State Chairman of the Libertarian Party of West Virginia.
Michael is a 2005 Graduate of the Appalachian School of Law where he obtained a Juris Doctorate.
