Roger Lee Wrights (June 8, 1958—May 4, 2017) was the Vice Chair of the National Libertarian Party from 2012 to 2014. He was also a frontrunning contender for the nomination for US President for the 2012 election season.
Early Life
Lee Wrights was born on June 8, 1958 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After graduating from high school, Wrights joined the U.S. Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1981. He also earned a degree from Willmar College where his major was journalism and history.

Campaign Manager
In Mary Ruwart's 2008 Presidential Campaign, Lee Wrights served as campaign manager. The campaign came to an end when Ruwart lost to Bob Barr on the sixth round of balloting. In 2010, Lee Wrights also managed Ruwart's campaign for Texas State Comptroller in which she received 10% of the vote against a Republican and Democrat.
Presidential Campaign
R. Lee Wrights formed a Presidential Exploratory Committee in early 2011 to accept donations and allow him to run for the nomination for President from the Libertarian Party.
