Brainstorming
What re some of the views on the non-initiation of force pledge over the decades that some of us can remember? -- Strangelv 05:44, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- It may summarize the entire libertarian position (there's also a counterargument citing Goedel)
- It scares people awy from the party
- It was created to assure government officials that the LP wasn't going to be burning buildings or shooting people
- It serves as an affirmation of adherence to libertarian principles
- There have been many proposals over the years to change or eliminate it, and also proposals to change when it must be signed
