Not all states succeed in entering regions for direct representation on the [[Libertarian National Committee]].   Some are orphaned when they are unable to join a group of states representing 10% or more.
In 2010, all states joined a [[Libertarian National Committee]] region, so there are no regionless states at this time. An LNC region is made up of states that constitute at least 10% of the membership of the national [[Libertarian Party]], and in past years, some states have not joined a region.
