The Denton County Libertarian Party (of Texas) has been continuously organized since October 2000. It is a county party of the Libertarian Party of Texas.
The county chair position is temporarily vacant pending a quorum of the executive committee to elect a successor. The next window for such a quorum is 17 February 2007.
Mascot
In 2005 the executive committee voted to make the American Bison its official mascot, along wtih the sogan, Roam Free. There is presently a contest to create an official logo.
