Ernie Whiteside is a former Libertarian activist who has served in Texas and Michigan and written a number of political articles. He has a professional background in medical technology, business management, and sales. He is currently affiliated with the Democratic Party.
He was secretary of the Denton County Libertarian Party from 2000-2002 and elected chair at the 2002 county convention. He served on the Texas State Libertarian Executive Committee from 2001-2002.
He relocated in early 2003 and has became active with the Libertarian Party of Michigan, running for the State Board of Education in 2004.
He served briefly as the Michigan LP's Outreach Director and was also the Membership Representative for the Libertarian Party of Wayne County (includes Monroe County) and assisted with the county newsletter.
