Carolyn "Care" Clift was a delegate seated with the delegation of the Libertarian Party of Alaska at the 2018 National Convention and 2022 National Convention.

In 2014, she ran for Governor of Alaska, but was defeated in the Democratic–Libertarian–Independence primary.[1]

In 2018, she ran for Lieutenant Governor of Alaska on a joint ticket with the gubernatorial nominee Billy Toien.

Clift ran for election to the Alaska State Senate as an Independent to represent District N. She lost in the general election on November 3, 2020.[2]
