Joe is running for the Ward 3 City Council position for Huber Heights.

2020-2021 Huber Heights Ordinance Review Commission
Joe was appointed along with six other people to the Huber Heights Ordinance Review Commission for 2020-2021. The Ordinance Review Commission is appointed at least every ten years with the intent to review existing City Codes.
The other six people serving alongside Joe are Jim Ellis, Jonathan Fannin, Brian Kitchen, At-Large Councilmember Glenn Otto, Jerry Wamsley, and Ward 2 Councilmember Don Webb.
The duties of the Ordinance Review Commission are detailed in section 156.02 of the Huber Heights Code of Ordinances[1]:
156.02 - Rules, powers and duties.
It shall be the duty of the Commission to review the existing City Code and other ordinances and resolutions and to make recommendations to the Council for the elimination or revision of provisions of the City Code and other ordinances or resolutions which may, in the opinion of the Commission, have outlived their usefulness or practicality. The Commission shall submit its report to Council within one year after its appointment.
2020 Ward 3 Council Member Position Interview
On March 3, 2020, Joe was interviewed to fill the vacant Ward 3 Council Member position. The interview was held in a public Council Work Session and recorded:
