Dr. William Martin "Bill" Sloane is a former Democratic Chief Counsel to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and former member of the Pennsylvania Democratic State Executive Committee.  He became a Libertarian in 2010.

He has served as Central Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania (LPPA) since 2017 and chairs the Capital Area Libertarian Committee, comprising Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties.

Sloane is a former LPPA Western Vice Chair [2015-17] and Judicial Committee Member [2011-15; Chair 2011-14].  He has been a Health Care Freedom Advisory Council Member of Our America Initiative beginning in 2014.

He is also a member of the Pàrtaidh Libeirtèireach na h-Alba (Scottish Libertarian Party).  He describes himself as a Twelfth Amendment activist and as the “founder and just about only member of Caucus-Free Libertarians.”
