Jake Leonard is a business owner from Nokomis, Illinois. He is the current chairman of the Tri-Counties Libertarian Party[1] and former deputy candidate recruitment director, current candidate recruitment director and state central committeeman (Illinois 13th Congressional district) for the Libertarian Party of Illinois.
Leonard began running for political office in 2015 as a non-partisan write-in candidate for city commissioner in the city of Nokomis, Illinois. Leonard would run as a write-in candidate for state representative in District 95 for the Illinois House of Representatives in 2016 and for Montgomery County Clerk in 2018.
Leonard made the ballot in 2017 for a bid to become part of the Nokomis CUSD #22 board of education. He also made the ballot in 2019 in a second bid for Nokomis city commissioner.
