Peyton Randolph (1723-1775) was a pre-Constitution president presiding over the First and Second Continental Congresses.
History
During his first term of office, the Declaration and Resolves of the First Continental Congress was adopted, as well as the Continental Association trade boycott.
Commentary
It is ironic that the progression of US Presidents should start with Peyton Randolph. Not only did he not live to see the Declaration of Independence, he would very possibly have opposed it.
