Memorial Day Weekend (22 to 26 May) 2008 is when Denver, Colorado will be hosting the 2008 Libertarian National Convention.
The convention delegates will among other business determine the LP's 2008 Presidential and Vice-Presidential nominees. Who will win? No one knows: no delegates are tied to any candidates, and this year there is a large number of candidates seeking the LP nomination.
Candidates for presidential nomination include:
- Bob Barr, former US Congressman
- James Burns, former Nevada LP chair
- John Finan, entrepreneur
- Mike Gravel, former US Senator
- Barry Hess, investor
- Dave Hollist, activist
- Daniel Imperato, businessman
- Mike Jingozian, software developer
- Steve Kubby, businessman and activist
- Alden Link, businessman
- Robert Milnes, activist
- Dr George Phillies, physicist
- Wayne Allen Root, television host
- Dr Mary Ruwart, author
- Christine Smith, activist
