Ernie Whiteside is a Libertarian activist who has served in Texas and Michigan and written a number of political articles. He has a professional background in medical technology and software sales.
He was secretary Denton County Libertarian Party from 2000-2002 and elected chair at the 2002 county convention. He served on the Libertarian Party of Texas State Libertarian Executive Committee from 2001-2002.
He relocated in early 2003 and has been active with the Libertarian Party of Michigan, running for the State Board of Education in 2004.
He served briefly as the Michigan LP's Outreach Director and is currently the Membership Representative for the Libertarian Party of Wayne County (includes Monroe County) and assists with the county newsletter.
