Anthony "Tony" D'Orazio is a Libertarian Party activist. He served as Chair (2020) and 1st Vice-Chair (2020-2022) of the Libertarian Party of New York. Previously, he served as 1st Vice-Chair from 2019 to 2020. He was Vice-Chair of the Monroe County Libertarian Party from 2017 to 2020. He ran for Chair of the Libertarian National Committee in 2020 and 2022.

Biography

D'Orazio joined the Libertarian Party in the 1990s when in 1996, he called the State Party and had a lengthy conversation with then-Vice Chair Dottie-Lou Brokaw. He was elected to State Committee of the Libertarian Party of New York in 2017 and later became Chair in 2020, succeeding Jim Rosenbeck upon his resignation on April 15, 2020. He ran for Chair at the 2022 convention, but lost to Cody Anderson and was subsequently elected 1st Vice-Chair, serving until the end of his term in 2022.

On June 22, 2020, he announced his candidacy for Chair of the Libertarian National Committee. At the convention, he came in third place, behind Joe Bishop-Henchman and Joshua Smith.

On November 7, 2021, D'Orazio announced his candidacy for LNC Chair for 2022. He placed third once again, behind Angela McArdle and Steve Dasbach.
